Lyrics

This morning I was driving, looked to the horizon
Saw the sun peek overe the mounds
Half in its glory, half an untold story
Hiding and biding its time
My father was a distant man my brother was a stone
I spent so many hours playing at being alone
A vision of a perfect love is like staring at the sun
It's brilliant and blinds me to the blue sky all around

In this cave I sit here thinking while you dance out in the sun
I scare too easily, I care too silently
The mosian gets complicated with each jagged piece of stone
And I'm not a piece of stone, I can thaw my frozen bones
By watching you throw your soul at the sun

You throw your sould at the sun like someone who's just begun
To trust her feet on a path of cobbled stones
I'm bust fixing mistakes, calculating heartaches
Writing lists of shoulds and coulds and can'ts and won'ts
So little in common leads to a dialouge
That clears up misconceptions like sunlight clears a fog
Two stones struck together sometimes leave a little trace
Of each other's composition on each opposing face

In this cave I sit here thinking while you dance out in the sun
I scare too easily, I care too silently
The mosian gets complicated with each jagged piece of stone
And I'm not a piece of stone, I can thaw my frozen bones
By watching you throw your soul at the sun

I feel that if I loved you with the full force of my heart
We could lose ourselves in joy, forget about the world
The mosaic would change from chaos to a patchwork of the past
A collection of stones
