Song Description

This version gives the vibe I enjoy at live performances of this tune.

Story Behind the Song

A Punk Rock Anthem - asking the question - "Why is all this hate, hate in this world?

Broadjam Member Reviews

sound is rough and ready, which kind of works for this song. So many people trying to smooth everything out, sound super "produced," it's kind of refreshing to hear something that's got edge to it, like this. They keep the energy up for five minutes too!

I love the raw edge and energy of the song and the overall classic punk feel of the song. Reminds me of early Jam, Buzzcocks, sex pistols, Magazine and those types.

Lyrics

I'm Not Laughing About It ©1996 updated ©2006

See that look of hate in your eyes
think there will be a nuclear war; we'll all die
you gave up on life and don't even try.
one thing I wish money could buy...
an answer to the question why.
you laugh at someone else...laugh at yourself

chorus:
Ah ah ha ah ha ha ha ha...ha ha
I'm laughing about it, I'm crying about it...
I'm dying...asking myself
why aye aye aye
why When I'm in love with life
Why is all this hate in this world

combat boots and leather and spikes and chains.
crazy nights going insane.
pierced ears, pierced nose and punk rock clothes
spiked hair mohawk and cool hip talk
hey where'd you get those clothes, at a thrift shop?
yeah and I like em!
this is the life that I chose.
