Lyrics

Say the Word

Do you still change your mind
Every time the clock changes time
Do you still like to cry at movies
You've seen a hundred times

Do you still agree
That we were born to make a difference
And change the world too
Did you have to throw it all away

Did you have to say the word
Did you have to say goodbye
Did you have to leave me here just wondering why
Did you have to say the word goodbye

Do you still sing our song
Every time it comes on
Do you still like to make believe
That we are still in love

Do you still agree
That we were born to make a difference
And change the world too
Did you have to throw it all away

Did you have to say the word
Did you have to say goodbye
Did you have to leave me here just wondering why
Did you have to say the word goodbye

love the guitar, the voice is good too. tight song, good job. well written changes. :}

you OBVIOUSLY know how to write a good song & the vocals are well suited for this track! The musicianship is solid as is the production. An enjoyable listen overall!

Great medium tempo moody song, that'll still make you feel good because of the songs general atmosphere. Well played from every instrument, and the lyrics are simple but effective. The guitar solo is spot on!

Good voice and recording overall good song

Epic tune. Excellent concept and theme well executed. Great vocal with character and attitude. Loved the guitar solo which was emotive and soulful (perfect for the theme) with simple beautiful tone. I said "epic" because that chorus makes it an instant classic. The way the sound blossomed at 0:55 and again at 2:24 = excellent; really added a lot to the dynamics and atmosphere.

Sounds Black Crowes-y.
The verses had neat descriptions of the love interest.
The repeated Did you have to was nice.
Nice pre-chorus build with the harmonies coming in.
