Song Description

This is a story of regret, but not a settled regret. This is a story that moves forward in determination to a point of overcoming.

Story Behind the Song

Funny enough this song was first produced and view as an April Fools gag. :)! I was working on this song as a serious piece and it just so happened that April first was just around the corner. In a video I released for April 1st I tied in a rather quirky dream I have with this epic building melody.

I liked the eerie intro with just piano & vocals. Then that high note the vocalist gave was really beautiful. The percussion part was a nice drop but a bit too long..it was supposed to give away a build up for the song..

Lyrics

You were born to rise above
But you have settled for less
Now you're torn by what they expect
And all the lies you must reject

You were born to rise above
You were born to rise above
You were born to rise above
