Lyrics
Let Her Go
You still recall the first love of your life
You gave her up, but now you don't know why;
You just had other things to do,
But you feel like such a reckless fool;
Cos now it seems she'll never leave your mind.
You don't know where on earth she is today;
You've called her friends, but none of them will say;
You'd try to get a message through
To simply say, 'I still love you',
But you know she doesn't want you anyway.
Let her go,
Inside you know,
The time has come to move on down the road.
Hard as it seems,
No more dreams
You want to hold her tight, but let her go.
Every minute she's somewhere in your mind;
The best time of your day is late at night
When you dream she's still with you;
But at dawn the cold hard truth
Brings tears to your eyes one more time.
Let her go,
Inside you know,
The time has come to move on down the road.
Hard as it seems,
No more dreams
You want to hold her tight, but let her go.
Close the window to the pain,
Open up your heart again,
And make the choice to leave the past behind.
So let her go,
Inside you know,
The time has come to move on down the road.
Hard as it seems,
No more dreams
You want to hold her tight, but let her go,
You want to hold her tight, but let her go
Let her go.
