Song Description

The literal lyrics are about 'blue days', waiting for the 'halo in the sky' (ie. the sun), and it works well in its literal meaning, but obviously it is very much about emotions - the darkness of grief, sadness, depression - and faith that in the future the light - joy, peace - will return and it will be alright.

Lyrics

BLUE

Some days are blue
Hard to see right
Just know that daylight comes
It always follows night
So keep faith and search the heavens for a sign
It'll be alright, it'll be alright - every time

Waiting for the halo in the sky

I know it's everything sometimes
And it ain't easy to define
I know when the sun don't shine
It's so far away
I know tears fall - all over your heart
I know that everything will be alright

Waiting for the halo in the sky

Some days are blue, some days are light
Open your heart, search the sky for a sign
Hold on to hope in the glitter of stars
The warmth of the sun is never too far

Waiting for the halo in the sky
