Lyrics

Victim
Music and Lyrics by Rob Oswin

I guess I musta got lost, somewhere along the way.
I turned my back on the sun while it settled down and went away. I don't know what it cost, and I don't know the price I'll pay... But it just keeps on gettin' stiffer, each and every day!

And I don't know why, But I feel like a VICTIM,
Of my own inability to separate the right from the wrong...
And though it feels like the right thing... It ain't workin'.
I take a little good advice and never make the same mistake twice.

AND MAYBE IF I LEARN THAT ON MY OWN, I COULD FIND MY WAY BACK HOME. AND MAYBE IF I FIND MY WAY BACK HOME, I'LL FIND AN EXPLANATION.

Never knew when I left, I'd never find a place to hide.
I took a run for the money the day I learned the rabbit died.
And from the outside lookin' in, I'm like a Christian soldier in a field of sin... And it just keeps on getting thicker each and every day!

And I don't know why, But I feel like a VICTIM,
Of my own inability to separate the right from the wrong...
And while it feels like the fightthing... It ain't workin'.
I take a little good advice and never make the same mistake twice.

AND MAYBE IF I LEARN THAT ON MY OWN, I COULD FIND MY WAY BACK HOME.
AND MAYBE IF I FIND MY WAY BACK HOME, I'LL HAVE AN EXPLANATION.
AND MAYBE IF I LEARN THAT ON MY OWN, I COULD FIND MY WAY BACK HOME.
AND MAYBE IF I FIND MY WAY BACK HOME, I'LL FIND MY DESTINATION,

HEY DON'T YOU KNOW? I'M COMING HOME YEAH!
HEY DON'T YOU KNOW... I'M COMING HOME YEAH!
BABY I WILL BE THERE,
MAYBE I'M AMAZED AT THE WAY YOU LOVED ME ALL THE TIME!

I guess I musta got lost, somewhere along the way.
And now its ten years after, I don't know what I gotta say.
I wasn't sailing to sea, I turned my back to the wind that got the better of me! And it just keeps on gettin' stiffer, each and every day!
Yeah it just keeps on gettin' stiffer, each and every day!

And I don't know why, But I feel like a VICTIM,
Of my own inability to separate the right from the wrong...
And though it feels like the right thing... It ain't workin'.
I take a little good advice and never make the same mistake twice

AND MAYBE IF I LEARN THAT ON MY OWN, I COULD FIND MY WAY BACK HOME.
AND MAYBE IF I FIND MY WAY BACK HOME, I'LL FIND AN EXPLANATION.
AND MAYBE IF I LEARN THAT ON MY OWN, I COULD FIND MY WAY BACK HOME.
AND MAYBE IF I FIND MY WAY BACK HOME, I'LL FIND MY DESTINATION.
