Song Description

This song describes the early signs of falling in love... when you get the symptoms of what falling in love is all about. All the distractions that come with the first feelings of love, like involuntary smiling and day dreaming about the person...

Story Behind the Song

This song was written partially on stage after an audience member requested multiple love songs one night...after literally running out of songs to play, some of the music was developed on the spot and the lyrics and melody were polished up the next day...after the party of course!

Lyrics

Symptoms of Love (c. 2012 Words and Music by Lenore Troia)

Just feels like I'm dreaming
Feel a smile beaming
Could you just be scheming
To capture my heart

Such a magic feeling
And it's so appealing
Could it be I'm dealing with
Symptoms of love

How my heart is pounding
Something so astounding
And I'm losing sleep
With every moment you are gone

Every minute with you and I in it
Is something from heaven above
I'm overcome with symptoms of love

Everywhere that I go
There's another rainbow
Could it be that you know
I'm walking on air

Loosing concentration
In anticipation
That when I turn around
I'm hoping so that you'll be there

When a feelings this strong
Nothing's going to go wrong
And I'm longing for
Every moment you are near

Every hour I'm under your power
I'm floating in clouds above
I'm overcome with symptoms of love
