1
I was small but I recall, Mom sang nursery rhymes
Tucked in bed I always said, them was the best of times
Sunday evening, logs on fire, wireless turned us on
To the Grand Old Opry, and the latest, Country songs......we'd sing along

PC
Ever since I was crawling
I could hear, Nashville Calling
Nashville Calling

Ch
Guitar strings, they played with my heart
Heavenly harmonies tore my soul apart
I was gently falling
I could hear, Nashville Calling
Nashville Calling

2
Turning five I came alive, played my first guitar
That was when this little one said, I wanna be a Country Star
Served my time in Honky Tonks; for years I had a ball
Covered Willie and the man in Black; I just loved them all.Waiting for the call

Ch
Guitar strings, they played with my heart
Heavenly harmonies tore my soul apart
I was gently falling
I could hear, Nashville Calling
Nashville Calling

Br
Shared my songs in hope, Dreams come true
Willie and the man in black, heard something new
Gave them Country wild and Ballads slow
Lit their fires like all those years ago......Round the radio!

PC
Phone wakes me in the morning
Hey Son, It's Nashville Calling

Ch
Guitar strings, they played with my heart
Heavenly harmonies tore my soul apart
I was gently falling
I could hear, Nashville calling
Nashville calling
