You catch your girl with another guy in the same street cafe where you met her. Now you've got the blues.
Walking round on a lazy day when I looked inside this street cafe and,
I turned around and what did I see? Two young lovers looking back at me. I think I've got the blues.
So I turned around, and closed my eyes, turned around again and realized that one young lover was hiding her face. I guess I found your secret place. Now I've got the blues.
Now my grass won't grow and my bird won't sing, and I'm not up for anything but sitting round and smokin nope, guess I gave you too much rope. Now I got the blues.
Well you had to go pulling one more trick, but you know I think it's so ironic, cause it seems like yesterday I met you in a street cafe, and now I got the blues, yeah.
Now my grass won't grow and my gird won't sing. I'm not up for anything, no.
Everyday's just another toke. You know I've got the blues and that's no joke.
Yeah, now I've got the blues. Yeah, now I've got the blues. Yeah, now I've got the blues. Yeah, now I've got the blues.
Wow. This one is great for so many reasons. Very interesting melding of instrumentation. Fantastic vocals. This is almost non-definable by genre - it screams blues, jazz and R&B all at the same time. Terrific job on this song.
I like the lyrical style, and the under pronunciation of some of the lyrics. The break downs are well done, really builds the anticipation of the next part.
Love your song! It's got a great vibe. Lyrics are very clever. Liked it all around!
A nice refreshing slant on the blues. Like your chord choices and bass line intro. Kind of a spookier blues sound.
I really like this song. I like the variations in the instrumentation. The harmonies added at the end were effective.
This song should one day be a classic. Excellent work.
