O'Jive Faction is a trio of multi-instrumentalists proficient on keyboards, bass, percussion and vocals. Musical influences and inspirations include Gospel, Jazz, Fusion and Latin greats the likes of Milton Brunson, Fred Hammond, Douglas Miller, Russ Taff, Walter and Edwin Hawkins, Michael W. Smith, Koinonia, David Sanborn, Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorius, John Patitucci, Victor Wooten, Tom Scott, Arturo Sandoval, Ricky Peterson and many others. Our vocal dynamics and stylings are influences by Russ Taff, Larnelle Harris, Fred Hammond, Bob Carlisle and many others. We've recently ministered and performed in several Christian venues, and have been guest percussionists for the California Desert Chorale. We merge our love for Jazz, Soul, Fusion, and Latin music into our passion for worshiping God through these influences as gracefully or aggressively as possible. O'Jive Faction is lead by Eddie Gonzalez, who produced his first CD titled, " I Won't Let Go " in his home studio in 2004.

Caleb Gonzalez

Caleb is a wonderful young man who has loved music since he was a baby. Under the tutelage of his father, Eddie Gonzalez, he has grown from enjoying music to becoming a successful bass player at the tender age of 14. It has been an amazing journey, as parents, watching Caleb go from watching his favorite bass players to jamming with the best of them. Caleb is also accomplished in other percussion instruments as well. He plays the drums, timbales, bongos, shakers, cow bells, tambourine, Doumbek, Darbuka and more.

Recently Caleb has had the privilege of playing with the California Desert Chorale in Palm Desert California, playing persucussion in their concerts. He is now working in conjunction with I.A.N. doing benefit concerts performing with his band, O'Jive Faction. When Caleb is not doing concerts, he enjoys playing in his church, the Apostolic Church of Indio. In his free time you can always be sure to find him in the studio jamming on his bass trying out new riffs he learns from his favorite bass artists, which are, Marcus Miller,John Patitucci, Stanley Clark, and Victor Wooten. Other artists he enjoys are Chick Corea, David Sanborn, Ricky Peterson, and Dave Weckl.
