At seventeen i had my first band 'The Ohio Twisters'. I went to the army and went to germany where i performed with the 'USO' on a Xmas tour for three weeks. I had a military band of guys on post where we would play for the company CO's parties, with the officers and their wives. It was an excellent way to get off of guard duty and KP.
