Mark Carson is a versatile pop/rock/country singer/songwriter that has been involved in the New Orleans music scene for years. He was the leader of the successful New Orleans-based pop group The Murmurs, who played regionally, released a CD, won the Jazz Search Contest in New Orleans, and performed at the Jazz and Heritage Festival. His group, the Mark Carson Band, includes a lineup some of the best musicians and singers in New Orleans. Mark has performed at the Frank Brown International Songwriting Festival as well as New Orleans institutions Tipitina’s and Carrolton Station. He has worked with many outstanding writers and musicians, including sharing a stage with Edwin McCain at Carrolton Station. Mark has developed rewarding collaborations with several published writers in both New Orleans and Nashville.
