Loren has spent most of his life in San Diego and was involved in its unique music culture which spawned such great artist as Jewel, Jason Maraze and Eddie Veddere from Pearl Jam. Most of his life has been involved in music and intellectual pursuits in higher education . Besides his prolific songwriting and recording accomplishments he also has attained a PhD in Clinical Psychology. While attending school in Northern California he honed his talent as a singer, and unwrapped his gift for lyrical expression. Performing as front man a long side his brother guitarist Jordan Green in the punk/funk band DA and power/pop band Green Room he realized his love for live performance. Graduation from Chico State led to graduate school which brought him back home to San Diego where he picked up a guitar and began songwriting. This self taught musician became a leader, built the band Blocking Symbol and began the evolution into a singer songwriter and began to understand the business end of music. As he became a better musician he became aware of the sound that he could create and started writing songs that consisted of psychedelic alternative folk influences mixed with pop rock. Soon after his newly formed band Sweet Medicine was approached by the music industry and Loren was offered a recording contract that did not include the band members that he specially gathered. Still in school getting his doctorate in Psychology he felt he was not ready to give up his commitment to his education to tour. He bought an 8 track reel to reel and became consumed with recording his music and his endless hours on the recording console brought him to the next level of songwriting and musicianship. He then recorded a demo of Sweet Medicine and also started recording solo. His need to hear music that made him feel a certain way motivated him to learn all the instruments needed to complete his songs he heard in his minds eye and craved to hear. Sweet Medicine evolved into the Dalis with included famous Bass player Mike Page ( formally in the New York Dolls, Iggy Pop etc. Loren?s drive to record was stronger than the other band members and he soon was playing their instruments to keep his desire to hear a certain kind of music satisfied. The need for more tracks led him to the 12 track digital workstation with he recorded his first complete solo album The Place inside your Soul. He also has an unreleased solo EP. His most current release is called Let It Out is his first solo release for public ears. This is a very personal, emotional, acoustic, pop, folk album that touches the spirit and insights the mind. ?Let it Out? was recorded in his home studio at his beach cottage in Ocean Beach, California. The music, lyrics, vocals, instruments, recording, production are all created and performed by Loren. You cant help from feeling something wonderful when listening to LT Greens first solo public release ?LET IT OUT?
