A tasteful mix of Pop meets Folk with a progressive hint of Soft Rock.

A metaphor that is coming from different directions and meeting in the middle, Crossroad Y was formed when lead vocalist Joanna crossed paths with talented songwriter, composer and guitarist John.

In 2013 the formation of Crossroad Y was complete when Fabian, a gifted guitarist and soulful vocalist joined the band not long after Joanna and John had started writing together.

The very first product of their musical collaboration was 'Funny Little Things', released in February 2014. The song was awarded a Semi Finalist placement in the International Song of The Year Competition in 2014. It's a huge honour as the contest is judged by the likes of Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Steven Tyler and Phil Collins and placement in the semi final means that Crossroad Y were in the top 1% of submissions and made it to the top 10 in the pop category. The video clip for Funny Little Things was awarded Semi-Finalist award in the UK Songwriting Contest 2014 Music Video category as well as being commended in several categories.

Crossroad Y is a band that expresses stories through songs, with a strong flare of inspiration drawn from situations which they find compelling, as evident throughout their upcoming 2015 EP release.

Their latest release, 'Comfort Me' is an original, cheeky and soft flowing song that's guaranteed to pull those melodic heart strings. Thought provoking song that's about a couple in a long-distance relationship with shared feelings of insecurity, uncertainty and an ever growing long for reunion.

"It is a story of ups and downs that is so true of many, if not all, relationships. Through the down periods there would be bouts of insecurity and uncertainty in regards to what the future holds, followed by surges of optimism when things are going well. The context of time was also important to us; you want the periods of doubt to be over quick, but the spells of bliss to last and never run out". Joanna
