Hi again Jim - listening to The Invasion of Mayberry - Awesome tune !! Great work - I like your story behind the song, you mentioned LA's Wrecking Crew. One of the guitarists from that scene, Tommy Tedesco grew up in Niagara FAlls NY. I had the opportunity to meet and hang out with him a couple of times in the late '90's before he passed away. Amazing tunes from that time and the session work they had was endless - inspiring to all of us today ! Best to you and keep up the great tunes ! Mark K.

Thanks so much Mark! I got to meet Tommy Tedesco way back in my college days when he was giving a clinic for Yamaha Guitars. That was a huge thrill for me. I was a fan of his column in Guitar Player magazine and wanted to be studio player like him.

Mark is that a Brian Setzer Hot Rod model 6120 in your profile pic? I'd love to get one of those.

Hi Jim - yes - that is indeed a B Setzer Hot Rod ! I love that guitar, picked it up in 2006 and it was my main guitar until around 2011 when I had a Bigsby added to my Gibson ES 135 - I love to play the Gretsch unplugged because it's got such a live sound to it thanks to the hollow body. Kind of like an Acoustic-Lite !! Cheers ! MK

That's great! Still don't have a Gretsch but I have a nice Tele with TV Jones Filtertron pickups and a Bigsby, which is what I use for that sound now. One day I'd like to get a real 6120 though. They have such a great sound.
