Alan, Lad, Great sound, man! Totally smooth and creamy! If you are ready for the rough and tumble, come and join me! Let the love flow, Embryo! - St. Nick

Interesting sound, Nick. Sounds like you are putting your soul into it. I like the 'smooth and creamy' idea - can I steal it? I decided to try the Broadjam Review thing that just started - sent a song to Joe Vitale. AK

Dear Roy, I checked out the Pro Reviewers, and not to my surprise, not a whit welcomed the genres of Folk or Bluegrass, the original American music (stolen and mutated from the original European Ancestors). That is why I love BroadJam! Only YOU proudly boast and promote Folk and Bluegrass music in the 21st Century. PGO says I am the last of a dying breed, and need to be put in a studio to record the end of the American Folk Era. Do you think we could get anyone interested? - Curious Nickolas

Nick, Thanks for your note and thoughts. Stay tuned, more pros are coming on board. We know we have a few holes in the offering, but you will see those fill up soon.....I do agree that the folk world needs a good jolt. Some of my favorite writers on our site are folk/americana or have written songs in the genre....Rhett Davis, Alex Legg, Larry Folk, Johnny Rodgers, Jono Fosh, John Evans, etc. the list goes on....Stay tuned...All the best, Roy

Thanks for the leads. Always looking for new sounds. Alex and I are from the same background, only divided by 1/2 a world. He was one of my first "Friends". Apparently, some folks think they don't need any...

In counterpoint to Nick's (valid) comment, I would like to say I am thrilled to be able to send music to such high caliber professionals, esp. Mr. Vitale. $50 would be nicer, though ...

Nick, Glad you connected with Alex. He is very talented and I hope to here him in a live setting someday....
Alan, Thanks for your thoughts. They are heard. BTW: I listened to your submission last night. A real modern retro feel to it. The Farfisa like sound made me smile....All the best, Roy

A bit off topic but FWIW- If readers would like drums performed by Joe Vitale (Jr. and Sr.) on their songs Sony has a nice loop content CD called "Vital Drums". I did a review of it for Recording Magazine back in April 2008. It's a nice sounding and well thought out disc.

Michael, I am thrilled that we are working with Joe V. again. He is not only a great drummer, but a world-class producer and songwriter as well. I've known Joe for a long time. He worked with us at Ensoniq, Sonic Foundry and has been involved with Broadjam since the early days. Like his dad, his son is also an awesome producer. With all his success in the business, he still remains one of the most down-to-earth people I have met.

Roy, hope your new collaboration with Joe V. works out great! Speaking of Joe Sr. I also have and love the "Organ Donor" loop & sample disc. Really useful and great sounding organ recordings.

I think they did that loop collection after I left SFO, but I can say that Joe is an excellent library producer as well.

Hi, Joe. Thanks very much for your enthusiastic review of Real Groovy Dimension. It does actually get played on the radio a wee bit in Canada - on a regional sation near my home in B.C. (mixed into regular rotation!), and some station in Quebec somewhere.

I like your song Sniff And Fry, which reminds me a bit of my label mate Ray Yule (aka Lester Scram Band) - you can check him out at www.phonicrecords.com.

I am surprised to see you only have one song on Broadjam, I would enjoy hearing more.
