A fish out of water had better learn to walk.

I've spent many years in the shadow of other writers as a Bassist for Lisa Hayes, The Violets and most recently Gingersol, all the while writing songs constantly. Saving up for a decent acoustic guitar and starting as a solo artist in 1995 in Portland Oregon, I took all opportunities to play out, while maintaining a full schedule as a bandmember. Band work took me to Nashville, Tennessee for a couple of years, then full circle back to my hometown of Los Angeles.

Putting an end to my own sideman/bandmember status, I left Gingersol in 2001 after recording their most recent album "The train wreck is behind you" and recorded my first solo album "Pooks Road", released in January, 2003. The record has been selling and earning good reviews so far. My live solo performances supporting Pooks Road have been encouraging and fun.

To this fish, walking is becoming the travel mode of choice.
