Story Behind The Song
Heard a band in Portland that was generically loud/soft Northwest grunge genre. They were great, but had lousy songs, so I wrote with them in mind. As the song came along though, it seemed to take on a more classic pop/rock structure, and I liked it, so I kept it.
Song Description
Giving up the struggle. Attaining wisdom. Gaining clarity at the end.

Lyrics
I CAN SEE

Lyin dyin
Lookin up at you
My time is over but
I can see
I can understand
Where you are
I can see
There was a moment
Somewhere in the past
I think we connected but
I can see
I can understand
Who I am
I can see
So much confusion
So much pain
So much illusion but
I can see
we are all the same
hand of God
I can see
What was it brought me to this place
what symbol burmed into my face
how can I believe the lies and
play the role so well
Cutting ties
Lyin dyin
Lookin up at you
My time is over but
I can see
I can understand
Where you are
I can see
