A recent tune of mine, co-written with Native American songwriter, Gen Huitt, is up for a Namy!  ("Native American Music Award")
The song is called "Missing" and we  find out in Sept 2022 if we have won.   However, just the fact that the song was nominated alone is simply incredible to me!  I did have some excellent surprise help on song production by Kenny Lee Lewis of "The Steve Miller Band" .... that didn't hurt anything!    I love that band!

Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Publi

Born in New Orleans, traveled to Montana ... then headed straight to Nashville, Linda Mckenzie is an independent, singer-songwriter/publisher who creates music in a Bluesy-Pop-Americana-Country kind of fashion. Lyrics without the fluff ...and music from the heart, approached by inspiration obtained from life's true grit. Whether playing solo with just her guitar, or jammin' with her full Nashville band, Linda has a soulful & sincere way of getting her musical message across. This versatile indie singer/songwriter/cancer survivor likes to boast that "Jesus and music saved me". Linda's voice has been heard nationwide on radio jingles for companies such as National Car Rentals & Sheridan Hotel chains. A founding member of the Colorado Songwriters Assocation and a self professed "wannabe cowgirl who never had a horse", Linda says the music will pick you (and not the other way around)!

Hi Linda Mckenzie,

I listened to your music on Broadjam and honestly, the sound stood out. " The Cowboy I Never Have Met."You're clearly good at what you do, and the truth is many people would really connect with the message your music carries.

Sometimes the only missing piece is getting that music positioned on the right platforms so the information and feeling behind it can reach a wider audience.

Quick question, are you currently focusing more on sync placements or mainly growing your listeners and streams?

Let's connect:cedar6291@gmail.com

Hi Linda,

Thanks for getting back to me. I completely understand. A lot of great artists are in the same situation, and honestly, money isn't always the first step.

Sometimes it's more about positioning the music correctly and opening the right doors so opportunities like sync placements or organic listener growth can happen naturally.

I mainly reached out because your track The Cowboy I Never Have Met has a sound and story that could resonate with a wider audience if it's placed the right way.

No pressure at all, but if you'd like, we can simply talk about a few free or low-cost ways to move your music forward and see what makes sense for you.

Feel free to reach me anytime: cedar6291@gmail.com

Best regard
Cedar
