Lyrics- Isn't It Funny? © 17th January 2013

Isn't funny?
Isn't it strange?
That the world keeps on turning,
But, not much has changed

Got house's for rent,
But, no money to buy,
Fat cats, get richer,
While the poor just get by,

So... tell me,
Where have things changed?
So... tell me,
Just, whose to blame?
Is it you,
Or me?
Or the ones, at the top of the tree?

Isn't it funny?
How things turn out,
You spend your whole life working,
What's that all about?

No balance of life,
To enjoy while you can,
Societies large workhouse,
It's as sure as I am!

Chorus repeat x2 to fade

The mood of the music fits the lyric well

liked harmonies,and unusual arrangement (intro)

WOW!--what a great composition!---simply beautiful--thanxs!--joe.

smooth and classic jazzy feel song not overdone or too complicated to vibe too very nice sound

I love the solo bass; terrific vocals. Cool ass song, really stepping out there.

Very haunting -beautifully performed

vocals are great harmony on point

I find this an original song. Nice vocals...clean instrumentation, nice strings!

Very effective arrangement. Great vocals

Wow, what a unique song. Your message came through loud and clear. Kind of a depressing message, but you came across well. Funny how we use the expression "isn't it funny" for something that is not funny at all. Your theme is universal and originally presented. The rich get richer and the poor just get by. One of the things that I really liked about your arrangement was the "spareness" of it. The ongoing bass just settling in at the beginning and carrying you through the whole song was phenomenal. I have never heard this done. I liked the other instrumentation you added in as well. All very electronic sounding, but not cheesy-electronic.

This is a great song!! The vocals and arrangement certainly create a mood. For some reason the vocals are not up front and clear, my guess is either the mic or an eq problem in the mix. But I love the song and the arrangement. Puts me in the mind of Billie Holiday's Strange Fruit. Great Job!

Really nice harmonies, fine vocals. Liked the over all feel of the tune and the simple message. Good balance between the vocals and the instruments.

The vocals on this are quite alluring even though at times sounding out of tune. It's very hard to make a song sound interesting with just Vocal and limited instrumentation but this one does just that. I Love the Mood it sets. Very Cool.
