Army Of Souls are by no means a stranger to the music scene. The members of this band come from well established mid-west acts. Together these musicians bring their mix of styles, influences, and experiences together to create a truly unique sound. High energy, tasteful feel, strong hooks and guitar grooves are accompanied by powerful vocals delivered with a positive message. This is the beginning of a new and powerful music that fuses heavy-edged aggressiveness with a unique blend of flavorful modernism that grabs your attention immediately and NEVER lets go!
The Northwest Suburbs of Chicago IL gives birth to the power of ARMY OF SOULS. Army of Souls began with the founding members Brian on Lead Vocals / Guitar, and Vince Consolo on Drums / Vocals. Both being involved in the music business for years, decided to join forces to create something original and fresh yet retaining that classic hard rock/metal identifiable originality. Both spent the last few years together writing and recording 13 original tracks and developing a sound and execution that makes AOS a fresh breath of air for awaiting metal and hard rock fans. In 2007 Vince and Brian knew it was time to find the right players to bring the AOS experience to life. It was not until July 07 when their search paid off and asked Glenn Christon to be a part of the AOS vision. After sifting through several guitarist/backing vocal players we have found our fourth member Scott Crosby. Scott's a great player and with his experience in the Chicago scene Scott is a great compliment to the band. We finally have shows booked and are on the WARPATH to raise the bar for live Chicago music. You've gotta get out to the shows and see the ARMY OF SOULS and hear our fresh approach to the decaying music scene! We got a surprise of our own when Vince was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer. He's went through all the treatments and has come out fine. Thanks for all your well wishes. Vince has decided to step down as the ARMY OF SOULS drummer. We foundr a solid drummer for the band to replace (DK) Vince due to illness. The group is writing some new originals while adding an arsenal of popular cover songs to hit the club circuit hard this winter/spring while improving on their entertaining high energy live show. The group is now focusing on remaking classic and current popular songs most other bands cannot play and gigging out consistently. Army Of Souls are currently gigging all over the Chicagoland clubs so be sure to check out this seasoned and unique group of talented individuals that play popular songs you don't always hear. These guys can play with the heaviest of acts and are also able to tone it down while remaining entertaining and in their element to command the admiration and respect of young and older audiences alike. If you metal heads, and hard rock fans are looking for a fresh breath of air with some solid pro players that bring the best of old school with a new school flavor, then keep your ears and eyes open for Army Of Souls in 2010.
