Alterstate is one of South Africa’s proudest exports, having arrived in the U.S. in August 2002. The band has built up a loyal following with its dynamic stage performance and unique ability to mold its energy around its audience, and has played over 100 shows in and around Atlanta, adding up to an impressive total of almost 700 shows since its inception in 1998.

Added to Alterstate's debut album ‘Songs From William Rd’, which is still receiving frequent airplay on radio stations in South Africa, is the band's latest 3-track EP, recorded at the esteemed Tree Studios in Atlanta late in 2003. The songs mark a significant step forward in the band's songwriting, performance, and overall sound, and is currently playlisted by a host of radio stations from coast to coast.
