THE HOUSE OF 530 PRODUCTIONS
The HOUSE of 530 PRODUCTION COMPANY was created by musicians and songwriters of the CONTROL FREAKS from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Like the music they create and produce, they perform high energy, original party music. 530 music consists of a mix of funk, rock, dance, jazz, hip hop and rhythm and blues, an old school sound with a new school twist and their songs and lyrics describe affairs of the heart, soul, and mind through the music.
The Control Freaks, musicians now producers and songwriters Vincent Carter and collaborators, Thomas Adderly (Keys) and Randy Clinton, along with Cassandra, the lyricist and vocalist of the group, they write, produce and arrange their own music. Blending the deliberate bass lines of Vince with high powered lead licks of guitar and smooth keys, the Control Freaks have created a sound that literally controls the ears of the listener. Featured on the House of 530 Compilation are vocalists CASSANDRA and STEVIEC, the two together form the duo GEM&NI. Like her vocals, CASSANDRA?s lyrics are aggressive, sassy and powerful which also works well for the songs sung by STEVIEC, an old school R & B crooner.
The Control Freaks concept was formed in nineties by Vincent Carter who lists some of the band's influences as James Brown, Mother Finest, Parliament/Funkadelic, the Isley Brothers. Thus production companies more closely resembling their sound are ?Sade and Sweetback, "Rufus and Chaka Kahn," music that consumes, hynoptizes and CONTROLS you whether you?re dancing or romancing.
Featured musicians on the House of 530 CD Compilation consists of local musicians: guitarist extraordinaire PAUL "Pfunkyman" EATON and saxophonists, BOBBY ZANKEL and CLINT WASHINGTON. Also featured are local Rappers ?DUKE and DOMINICA", (Duke Holliday and Naima Gripps), JAMES JOHNSON, KAMEELAH WAJEED and SIZZLEB from DC.
