Ragah El & The Empowerment

Ragah El and The Empowerment are a young, original movement that produce captivating sounds driven by a charismatic frontman, and backed by exceptionally talented musicians.  Expertly bridging genre gaps, this group draws from musical influences such as reggae, hip hop, jazz, blues, R&B, soul, funk, house, and rock, in order to identify with a large array of audiences.

Native of St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands, the talented vocalist/songwriter/producer Ragah El, embodies a fluidness that most appropriately labels him a multi-genre artist. Ragah's true talent lies in his ability to be the essence of versatility, adept at performing and recording in any context and for all audiences.  
  
Ragah has been blessed on his musical journey, touring within the U.S., and working in cities such as NYC, Houston, Austin, Raleigh/Durham, St. Louis, L.A., and presently Miami. This incomparable artist has benefitted and gained valuable experience along his travels, having the opportunity to contribute his talent on various projects, and sharing stages with such high caliber artists as Erykah Badu, N-Dambi, The Last Poets, KRS-One, Nuwamba, and The Roots to name a few, who have helped to sharpen and refine his particular style. 

Ragah El and his band The Empowerment, achieve a unique sound by incorporating current events, politics, and life circumstances into the messages conveyed within the music.  Having the capacity and skill to also create music using improvisational techniques allows The Empowerment to cleverly flow from one genre to the next seamlessly.  Ragah El wishes to bring his inspired music to the attention of the World by producing and maintaining a oneness between the listener and the energy of the Empowerment.
