A singer-songwriter from New Mexico, Anna has received eleven finalist designations in the New Mexico Music Awards winning an award in 2017 in the category of Adult Contemporary, for her song, "For Katya." Four of her songs were accepted by Women of Substance Radio Podcast for play. In 2018 she received three honorable mentions (one with special recognition) in the SongDoor songwriting contest, an international contest with over 20,000 entries. Her music is available on most streaming and for purchase sites.
She writes in blues, Americana, spiritual, folk and alternative, jazz and contemporary genres. Anna has three CDs and multiple singles for sale, the latest of which, Darkest Angel, was recorded by Grammy Award winning producer and guitarist, Larry Mitchell. Anna performs around the Albuquerque area in festivals and local venues. Intimate and soulful--not your average song or artist.
In February of 2020, Anna conducted her second songwriting workshop benefiting the Placitas Community Library.
In May, 2020, Anna will begin weekly FB and Youtube videos called her "Songs on the Porch" series. She will perform one song each week and offer some tips on songwriting.
Anna Rudolph is a singer-songwriter of roots, blues, Americana, was born in Houston, Texas, and now resides in Placitas, New Mexico. Anna began writing, playing and singing in 2012, and in 2013, was nominated for her first of eleven nominations and one win for a New Mexico Music Award (2017). Since her songwriting began, she has released three original CDs and several singles, all available online at most music outlets.
She has played in venues across New Mexico and has had performance radio interviews with 99.9 Placitas Radio and KTRC /Radio Santa Fe on the Art Fusion program. She has also taught her own songwriting courses at the Placitas Community Library.
Anna has worked with Grammy Award winning producer/guitarist, Larry Mitchell, since 2017 for her CD, Darkest Angel, and subsequent singles. She also records with Ron Crowder, local award winning songwriter, musician and producer.
Anna was an artist within the Art of the Song Standing 'O Project, a popular NPR program and streaming platform, regretfully now retired from NPR. She is also an artist on Women of Substance Podcasts/Radio, Spotify and other streaming sites.
