Theodore "Doc" Hall ...

As a solo songwriter, my current focus is on the writing of country and pop with chart potential. As the lyricist half of the Hall/Baroni team, I write eclectic--everything from blues (basic to hot) to jazz-rock fusion. (Jon Baroni is pianist with a popular Northwest band.)

I am also a dramatist and screenwriter, my latest creation being a drama-with-music titled "Zap!--The Homo Sap Zap Project."

Professional background: MA in Creative Writing and Ph.D. from Syracuse. Won a variety of awards, including a BMI scholarship for a librettists workshop. Studied song lyric writing in early 80s under the late Marty Kugell ("In the Still of the Night," "Romeo and Juliet," etc.). Subsequently, I have worked independently, as, among other things, a lyric doc and ghostwriter.

Inactive in the music biz in the 90s, I wrote several books on evolutionary science and social theory and published numerous articles, one of my latest concerning a proof of the Gaia
