Story Behind The Song
I got kind of tired of hearing the "demons" theme in contemporary music and especially the notion that demons are altogether negative. So I tried my hand at a lyric that portrays demons as having positive potentials.
Song Description
An upbeat country duet with lots of room for great harmonies and with strong potential for crossing over into other markets. Thematically, the song is about something sort of rare these days ... successful love.

Lyrics
DEMONS & ANGELS
[Male]
Girl, I gotta tell you
An' every word is true
I got a lot of demons
But I got some angels, too
Now what I like about you
Is what you do to me
You mesmerize my demons
And set my angels free
[Both]
You bring my angels out
They all fly about
In my heart when I'm with you
You bring my angels out
They sing, sing and shout
In my heart when I'm with you
[Female]
Guy, I gotta tell you
An' every word is true
I got a lot of angels
But I got some demons, too
Now what I like about you
Besides your sweet romance
You unchain all my demons
An' teach 'em how to dance
[Both]
You bring my demons out
They all dance about
In my heart when I'm with you
You bring my demons out
They sing, sing and shout
[or They sing, twist and shout]
In my heart when I'm with you
[Male]
Life is for the livin'
Livin' to be wise
One day we'll see our demons
Our angels in disguise
Now what I like about you
Is what you like in me
You got no time for down & out
You're too busy bein' free
[Both]
You bring my angels out
They all fly about
In my heart when I'm with you
You bring my angels out
They sing, sing and shout
In my heart when I'm with you ...
[Repeats and out ... or, the conclusion could be done with counterpoint, the male singing "You bring my angels out" and the female singing "You bring my demons out"]
