YD (Young David) was born David Howard on April 9th of 1994 in Milwaukee, WI although he currently hails from and represents Madison, WI. He quickly turned to music as a form of expression. At the age of 7 the artist within YD began to blossom. Young David began his journey writing poetry, eventually writing raps, which then turned into song. YD began his solo career. Starting with YouTube, appearing on the songs of local artists, and landing stories on national blogs, YD began to get his voice heard locally and nationally as a solo hip-hop and R&B artist. His voice can be described as sensual and soulful, yet youthful and intriguing. Some influences include Tupac, Jay Z, and J.Cole. His brand is one that aims to relate to everyone in their everyday lives. YD plans on putting in one hundred percent on his climb to the top. Working longer and harder in the face of competition, failure is not an option.
