The Vee/MagSax Project is a Duo comprised of two first class musicians. Marc Vee, who plays acoustic and electric guitars and Johnny Mag Sax, who plays alto and soprano saxophones. The two artists first crossed paths between performances at The Keylime Bistro on Captiva Island, Florida and decided to try collaborating on some original music. Their very first writing session yielded the tune “Outta Sight” which, is included on their debut CD entitled, “Souled Out”.

After realizing their exceptional chemistry, Marc Vee and Johnny MagSax continued to write song after song in a very inspired and consistent routine until they had an album’s worth of material. At that point, they decided to call this new duo, “The Vee/Mag Sax Project” or VMP. The music that VMP plays has many influences ranging from traditional Jazz, Funky Soul, SmoothJazz, Rhythm and Blues and all the way to Latin and Contemporary Pop music which, got them the gig opening up for Boney James and Chris Botti at the Annual Smoothjazz Concert ( Jazz on The Green ) in Oct. 2004 in Ft.Myers,Fl. This duo’s individual members have paid their dues respectively. - S.W.H. Records
