An ever-growing group of TuffCat fans has learned to expect the unexpected from this band. TuffCat fearlessly explores life, love, society and dysfunctional families with songs that are both amusing and thought provoking. Soaring vocals and tight harmonies accentuate the lyrics, while driving guitars satisfy our rock and roll roots.

You might think of TuffCat as the next Cure or Depeche Mode, but that would be denying the unique sound of this progressive, risk-taking, innovative and edgy band.

TuffCat’s first CD, “kissing Aspirations”, has been enthusiastically received by their fans and helped to establish TuffCat as a force to be reckoned with. Their latest CD, “Asinine Lives” is to be released in June 2004.

While their CDs are amazing, TuffCat have to be seen live to appreciate their music. A great band to listen to, they are fun to watch and clearly enjoy performing their music. TuffCat are a must see and a must hear for all ages.

New Release

Tuffcat’s third CD, Asinine Lives, released June 2004. Tracks are available on www.tuffcat.com. The band comprises:
Steven Whitmore – vocals, guitar
Dan Miller – drums, harmonica
Valerie Siegel – vocals, keyboard
Jason McMillan – lead guitar, vocals
Jason Coonts – lead guitar, vocals

“Tuffcat has a unique sound,” says Steve Whitmore. “We are all songwriters and have four distinct vocalists which gives us an amazing ability to vary our sound. It is really hard to pigeon-hole our style, which can only be described as The Tuffcat Sound.”

There is never a dull moment on this Asinine Lives. From the driving drumbeat of Checkpoint Connie to the haunting starkness of Glory, Tuffcat keeps their listeners on their toes. Throughout their music, Tuffcat’s thoughtful lyrics have an Everyman appeal that touches all ages. Their wry humor shows clearly in Change, a bittersweet statement on dysfunctional love -- and Skeletons, in which a dead couple win the lottery.
