Establishing a solid fan base under the name ‘Harmful If Swallowed’, The Rex Wicked have now shed their old skin and sharpened their edges. Originally a two-piece, formed in 2002, consisting of guitar and keyboard the band multiplied their numbers, creativity and sound with the addition of a second guitar, bass and drums.
Driving rock riffs, wailing vocals, tearing screams with weaving guitar licks and solos that leave you in awe of lead guitarist Brendan’s ability to work his strings like they are alive. The band has heard comparisons of everything from Muse to Yes, Incubus to Led Zeppelin, Powderfinger to Nirvana. Really, these 5 young rockers have forged their own sound that repeatedly wins hearts and scores them successful shows at venues such as The HiFi Bar, The Corner, The Duke of Windsor, The Espy, The Armadale, and Revolver as well as Youthfest, IN2WISHIN Festival, Freeza gigs, MITS gigs, charity gigs, and numerous Battle of the Bands.

This Saturday (03/02/07) we head to The Evelyn for a massive show with our good mates A Ghost Devotion. They boys are launching their EP and then jetting off to the UK for a while, please come down and give them a big send off!
