If The RAMONES were to ever have played the GRAND OLE OPRY, it would have sounded like THE MUDSLINGERS. A current one man project based out of Nashville, Tn, THE MUDSLINGERS mixes the traditional country music lyric staples such as heartache and liquor with the volume and energy of old school punk. The songs are written and performed by BRIAN CHICOINE, who had a vision to mix his love for traditonal country styles (HANK WILLIAMS, JOHNNY CASH, PATSY CLINE, BUCK OWENS) with old school punk (RAMONES, SOCIAL DISTORTION). Brian realized that these two different styles of music had a common thread. SIMPLICITY. Three chords and a catchy melody make up the music, while hard core country themes fill out the lyrical portion of the songs. Recorded in true DO IT YOURSELF style, THE MUDSLINGERS first album "TOO FAR GONE", is a welcome throw back to LO-FI indie radio.
