our short story

The Beasts of Eden have a lit fire and people are starting to take notice. The group appeared on the crowded New York music scene about eight months ago, seemingly out of nowhere. Comprised of singer / songwriter Chris V, guitarist Chris Boosahda, bassist Jon Shaw and drummer Carter McLean, the Beasts are quickly creating their own brand of memorable songs and spirited live performances.
With a vocal sound that has been compared to “John Lennon meets Kurt Cobain,” The Beasts of Eden have become adept at writing great melodic hooks supported by catchy bass grooves and beats. They are creating songs that are uniquely their own.
The band’s heavy guitar-riffed song “Skin” has begun to get commercial radio airplay in front of millions of European listeners ( big-FM No. #1 CHR Broadcast Radio Network in Europe/Germany.) The over-seas success has been matched by a good reception from music fans back home as well. Although they are just starting to get the word out, The Beasts have been playing to packed clubs with every show.
In the words of one record industry veteran of twenty years:
“It’s been a long, long time since I’ve been really excited about an emerging New York band”
The group recorded their initial self titled EP offering in singer Chris V’s loft space / recording studio in Brooklyn, New York. This allowed them a great amount of control over their sound and creative direction.
Prolific songwriting and recording has been one of the band’s focal points since they began. The Beasts of Eden are currently in the process of finishing up their second EP, tentatively titled “End Times.”
