Terry Young is a singer-songwriter, who creates and performs primarily in the pop-rock genre. However, he is equally at home when writing and playing instrumental
pieces for use in film and TV. Terry plays electric and acoustic guitar, piano and
keyboards. As well as writing his own songs, he is also an accomplished vocalist. Indeed, he is a oneman music operation, owning his own recording studio
and running his own music-related business.
A native of Norway, where he still lives, Terry Young became interested in music when still a young boy, joining his first band when he was just thirteen years of age. Some five years and several bands later, feeling that he could progress better on his own, he chose to become a solo artist. During his early years as a professional musician, Terry worked in both Oslo and Stockholm and was involved with
some of the major acts in Scandinavia.
Terry’s early influences include The Beatles, Wishbone Ash, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan.

After several single releases, one on the RCA label (Goldie released on RCA Stockholm), and a move
to Germany to be able to better concentrate on performing and composing, Terry was involved in negotiations
with US publisher Peer. However, fate took a hand and Terry was struck down by a serious illness. It was ten years before Terry was able to again play a meaningfull part in the music business.
