Blending captivating guitar riffs, electrifying keyboards, inventive effects, and rhythmic bass and drums with harmonizing vocals sets this band apart from the rest. With roots in hard rock and classical music, Temple is a group that is all but your everyday rock band. The trio is made up of Kurt Parks (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Josh Kim (BVs, lead guitar), and Nate Parks (drums). Brothers Kurt and Nate Parks founded Temple. Kurt wrote songs proficiently and had written an album’s worth of material when they started playing LIVE. However, the songs wouldn't reach their true form until Josh Kim joined the group in early 2002. That fall, Temple decided it was time for a full-length album. At Flat Five Studios, in Salem, VA, the band recorded their debut CD, Carved. The album features 15 of the groups originals, and has sold over 2000 copies. Temple continues to consistently play shows to an emerging fan base around Virginia, and is currently in the midst of recording a second album.
