Stone Mountain Station is an americana rock band located in New York, NY. It includes guitarist Alvaro Kapaz, guitarist Dan Sussman, songwriter, pianist, and vocalist Mark Ciani, bassist Ryan Gleason, and drummer Matt Musty.

Mark Ciani formed Stone Mountain Station (SMS) in 2011 with one goal: employ his geeky and encyclopedic knowledge of the "classic" American rock and country songbook to create songs that seemed both familiar and wholly new. For years, New York's music scene is littered with chillwave, freak folk, dance punk, post-rock, and garage-rock-meets-girl-group bands, and a thousand other bands defined in niche genres. Many of these bands are innovative and "in the now," but to Mark's ears, lacked a certain timeless quality found in his favorite records. Enter SMS, who aims to make an old sound new again.

With a revolving cast of singers, always anchored by Mark, SMS creates unforgettable earworms that only embed deeper into the skull with each repeated listen.
