Steve Millard (songwriter) grew up in Arlington, Virginia in a house filled with the music of Beethoven, Brubeck, Dylan, Chopin, and church hymns. In elementary school he played piano and drums, but in junior and senior high he opted for the alto sax and flute. At Pomona College, Steve played in the jazz band under the direction of Bobby Bradford. When Steve had to become an adult, he put music on hold, moved to Seattle, and got a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of Washington. In the late 1980's he began playing sax again, studying first with Johnny Jessen, and then Don Lanphere. In the Fall of 2000, a piano that needed to be babysat rolled into Steve's life, and six months later he began taking piano lessons. Since then Steve has written jazz, country, and pop songs.

Steve produced his first CD, "Wrapped Up In Your Kiss," in 2004. See www.SteveMillardMusic.com for more information.
