A celebrated musician and composer, an award-winning author, an acclaimed artist, a record-breaking athlete, a renowned humanitarian – Sri Chinmoy has been described as a modern-day renaissance man. Making his home in New York City, Sri Chinmoy has spread the simple message of friendship and harmony through a wide variety of endeavors. Since 1984, he has given more than 600 free concerts at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Sydney Opera House with audiences of up to 19,000 people.
