Spit Hot Fire Bio

Coming to you straight out of New York, New York, Spit Hot Fire is a group set out to redefine what the hot shit is. A modern rock band that utilizes dub reggae, dancehall, ska, and hip-hop grooves with universal pop melodies, they have separated and detached themselves from the frayed and deteriorating indie rock scene that dominates this great city. They have reminded their growing party people audience that it feels good to be cool, confident, and sexy.
In the short year and a half the band has been together, they have gone the hard but necessary New York City road from playing empty dingy rock clubs on Monday nights, to rocking huge crowds of bouncing, exuberant, ecstatic and dedicated fans on the weekends. They have started touring regionally, playing north in upstate New York, and south through Jersey, Philly, and down to DC. They have opened for renowned national reggae acts like SOJA, been featured on internet radio shows like The Eclectic show, played festivals like Millennium Music Festival and received press and acclaim. Their debut EP: “The Spit Hot Fire EP”, released in June 2006, is available for licensing from 6 different companies and the follow up record is in the works.
Spit Hot Fire’s fans look forward to their monthly NYC shows as the biggest party until the next one. The goal is to spread this love. It is only a matter of time. Check it out.
