Story Behind The Song
Actually the truth of the matter is that I had been out all night with the guys and yes we were chasin' the ladies but we didn't catch any...I wrote this song a few weeks after the incident with my co-writer James after we discussed the issue. She kicked me out shortly after this incident...I wasn't the greatest husband in the world to my first wife, but hey it's times like those that write songs like these.
Song Description
A song about my ex-wife accusing me of cheating on her just because I came home at dawn. This is exactly what happened that dreaded night as I walked through the door at about 6:00 am after being gone since the night before.

Lyrics
I walk in
She looks at me
Somewhat
Suspiciously
Wonderin' where the hell I've been
Until dawn
And I could tell
By the look in her eyes
She'd been cryin' all night
Wonderin' why
And just where the hell I've been
Until dawn
And I cried Honey
Believe it or not
I'd never cheat on you
All of my life
I've been looking for someone
That I can be true to
And then you
You came along
Show me what true love means
And now honey,
I'd never cheat on you
Well she exploded
In a violent rage
Throwin' all of my stuff
All over the place
She was pointin' fingers
Tellin' me to get out
She was screamin'
At the top her lungs
Tellin' me all about
What I did wrong
She wouldn't listen to
A single word I said
So I cried
Repeat Chorus:
Well I tried
Yeah I tried to explain
Girl now there's no need
To play this game
I promise you
I didn't do anything wrong
She fell
Right down to her knees
Said these late nights
They're killin me
And I'm just afraid
One night you won't come home
So I cried
Repeat Chorus:
Never cheat on you
I'd never cheat on you
No, no, no....
