Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song in effort to accept the fact that I needed to get professional psychiatric help. There were parts of myself I didn't want to accept, and I spent years running away from my own mind. Anytime I was confronted I would lie and act like I didn't know what they were talking about. I lied to myself and everyone out of a sense of powerlessness. At then end of the song (which wasn't written until the end of my therapy) I had found my own voice and my own power. This song is that resolution.
Song Description
This song is about achieving self empowerment after suffering from a split personality due to PTSD.

Lyrics
Look at her
Does she know you
I think you know her
But you won't notice
Because it reminds you
Too much of the time
She was down
With her head in her hands
After spreading herself around time.
She lost her name,
and she'd like you to the same
As much as you already have:
Don't ask her name now
She'll lie to you againS
he doesn't want to know you
Contrary to what you might think
Don't ask her name now
She'll point to someone else
She'll only get to know you
Once you recognize yourself
Who am I?
How'd I get here?
A block of time is lost
There are doors in my head
I can't open
Cause I'm too scared to look
I can't run anymore
I can't hide her crying
Is too loud
I lost my name, and I wanted her to do the sam
As much as she denies.
chorus
Look at me
I won't run away this time
Look at me
I'll stand my ground this time
