Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song when I was feeling old and lonely. My wife at the time was also convinced that her life was on a downward trajectory. Parts of the songs were me trying to tell her that just when you think things are doomed, they might just turn out alright. Similarly sometimes when everything seems just right with the world it all comes crashing down.

Lyrics
Im just an old bag of grass, nobody wants me.
Every person I pass, keeps their eyes focused forward as they scamper by me real fast.
Oh lord, won't you save me? Won't you keep me when I crumble up and get swept in the trash?
Don't you know ive been rehearsing? Ive been keeping myself clean.
Just because you feel broken, doesn't mean there aren't places to sail.
Just because you feel groovy, doesn't mean you won't find brand new ways to fail.
Im just an old bag of grass, nobody wants me
I pour myself a tall glass, and I wait for the morning to shine some sunlight on my back.
Yeah well nobody's perfect, sometimes it's just worth it, some days it's just all that you have
Yeah well nobody's perfect, especially me
Just because you feel broken, doesn't mean there aren't places to sail
Just because you feel groovy, doesn't mean you find brand new ways to fail
