Story Behind The Song
Lyrically inspired by the style of Michael Penn.
Song Description
"All My Life A Fool" is written from the perspective of a man lying in his grave, thinking back on his life and all the things he thought of and never acted on; all the things he should have created, and the things he should have said to his loved ones. He thinks these things as his body rots away, futhering the fact that it's over for him as what is left of him ceases to exist.

Lyrics
All the things that brew inside my head
Will suffer distillation when I'm dead
They'll lose their flavour as they settle
Growing cold against the kettle
That is my skull all decomposed in coffin bed
All my life a fool
All the great things I once came up with
But failed to show
In painting, song, in novel or in poem
Will turn to dust just like my form
Never presented and so scorned
But immortalized as I fossilize to stone
All my life a fool
All the heartfelt things I could have said to you
Will settle in me as they lose their heat and cool
And as the organ that's my heart
Starts to rot and fall apart
I'll realize then that all my life I was a fool
