Song Description

This song was originally performed in 1988 by bassist Celia DuBose and guitarist Meredith Anderson with their Berkeley-based band Z-Axis, produced by the legendary guitarist Henry Kaiser. This updated excerpt features guitarist Jack Wright reprising Anderson's role, and E. Doctor Smith triggering samples and drums from his invention, the Drummstick. Also featured are Neil Mezebish on MIDI Sax, and Eric Dahlman on trumpet, using a Lexicon Jamman for his solo looping.

Story Behind the Song

Celia DuBose' experiences in Africa are the basis and inspiration for this beautiful song.
