Song Description

"Tony Soprano With A Gun": You know you get those weeks when you just wish you could be powerful, above the law... do anything you want...?? "Tony Soprano With A Gun" is a song concerning one of our basic feeling in everyday life: To take no limits, to hide your concious and let your self addopting the dark side of your nature (well...Just for a while...).

Story Behind the Song

I wrote the song after I have been watching daily re-runs of the "Sopranos". Apart of being one of the best Series on T.V ever, it appears to me that Tony's character and The Soprano's appeal to audience is a physiological one and a daily one, the needs to win at any circumstances, to lift your self from everyday life and to create - by all means - your own universe. "Tony Soprano with a Gun: is about those moments. Fun, bitchy and mean.

Lyrics

Tony Soprano With A Gun

Big Tough as Moby Dick
There's no glory in being a geek
Sometimes I wanna feel
Like Tony Soprano for a week

Pretty Girl sells me a car
I wanna have her honey jar
To have no limits, a hidden conscience
I wanna go far
To come real strong with a clear tone
Ignoring the hell below

High above everyone
All mighty to kiss the sun
Sometimes I rather feel like
Tony Soprano with a gun

Torments of a tortured mind
The I.R.S haven't been that kind
Compulsive gorging to bury the bitter taste of pride

I wanna a stripper on my knees
A mansion with a heart-shaped key
Sometimes I even find Carmela sexy and sublime

To come as King-Kong, bang a gong
While ignoring the hell below
High above everyone
All mighty to kiss the sun
Sometimes I rather be like
Tony Soprano with a gun
