Story Behind the Song

Lyrics written during COVID 19 isolation...

Broadjam Member Reviews

Wow that sweet guitar kicks the song off so nice. The song itself is in a different mood when the vocal comes in, but the melody line is very nice. As a fan of rockin' guitar, I have to admit, I was waiting for that guitar to kick back in.

Great demo! Nice song and arranging.

Lyrics

Wandering Souls

The earth is not at rest today
The stars are not aligned
Like wreckage floating lost in space
No antidote in sight

The world has cast a change in flight
That is unknown to us
We're slipping through the hands of time
To soon become stardust

I'm just a soul in a human spacesuit
But, we all are
Just held together by some flesh and bone
Joined by the heart

I'm just a soul in a human spacesuit
But, we all are
Just spinning round in some universe
From star to star

Inside my gilded cage I swing
In strange captivity
like stars lost gently into space
but seized by gravity

My mind is just a time machine
but yet my soul survives
Just like some foreign halo light
That shimmers more than shines

I'm just a soul in a human spacesuit
But, we all are
Just held together by some flesh and bone
Joined by the heart

We're all just souls in a human space suit
yes we all are
just holding on through a narrow light sphere
After all
