Goodbye Letter © 2011 Donovan Tucker BMI

Verse 1 :

We both started acting' angry
Pointing fingers placing blame
I left a note there on your dresser
Then like a fool I drove away

Chorus :

I could've loved you so much better
But I couldn't love you anymore - than I do
I'll take back my goodbye letter
If I could just hold you like before

Remember the time when we were hungry
Hungry for each other's touch
We were a long , long way from angry
I couldn't get home fast enough

Chorus

Bridge
I'm trying to tell you that I'm sorry
For all the times I let you down

I'll take back my goodbye letter

If I could just hold you

Maybe spend a little time together

If I could just hold you like before

Reminds me of Jim Croche? Great tune, like the vocals and the tune itself is very catchy and memorable. Clever lyric.

nice and peaceful country ballad, heartfelt lyrics. nice vocal and harmony.

Great lyrics & sound..has hit written all over it! Great guitar!

Beautiful song! Great message!... Loved the simple guitar... Loved the plucking.. Added a sweet touch..excellent vocals!

Lovely...bloody lovely! This song's emotion and pathos is evocative of some of Kris Kristofferson's best work. Hell of a song writer demo. Beautifully played and sung. Bravo!!!

really nice song hard to say if its a hit saingle type but could be ..could hear it in a movie or tv prog

Cool song...love the arrangement and meaning behind the lyric.

This song has a lovely melody and sweet chord progression. The vocalist has amazing control & pitch and delivers the song with the right amount of emotion. This is a moving break up song with lovely guitar picking. Good use of rhyme is employed in lyrics that paint a picture of loss & regret.
