Story Behind The Song

I got the idea for this while playing with a rubber band during a boring business meeting.

Song Description

If a string is struck or stopped at its midpoint, you hear the first harmonic. Striking or stopping a string at some point other than the midpoint produces two pitches depending upon the relative lengths of the segments of the divided string. Striking or stopping two strings at once produces a four note chord with a banjo-like timbre. Sliding a microphone along nylon guitar strings produces glissandi in the upper strings and scraping noises in the lower strings. When the vibration of a string is gently stopped with microphone's wire screen, it produces a buzzing twang. This song is the result of arranging combinations of these sounds over eight tracks. Both the guitar and the microphone have somehow survived this experiment.
