Story Behind The Song
We (Kimber and Deb) were about to go into the studio to record the first time with Buck Owen's band - The Buckaroos. Our manager asked us to write a funny song that we could throw out as an "ice-breaker" in case we needed it - these pickers are legends in country music. Turns out, our little ice-breaker song was one of their favorites and they wanted us to record it -- lots of fun all around!
We tell every DJ that we wrote this song just for him or her -- they like it anyway!
Song Description
This song is for anyone who has been told they weren't good enough - or smart enough, or rich enough to make it. This is a supreme self-confidence song - done very "tongue-in-cheek" that is like the underdog's anthem.

Lyrics
Damn, I'm Good!
Words and Music by Debbie Soul and Kimber Hart (c) 1997
V1: To all of you who said I won't amount to much
Or just plain told me I wasn't good enough.
Well, take a good look at what perfection looks like
Just can't help it, you was wrong and I'm right!
V2: If you catch me laughin' at my own jokes,
I'm my own biggest fan, don't need any other strokes.
I amaze myself -- I'm a sight to behold!
Damn, I'm good - consider yourself told!
CH: Darn, I'm darlin' cute as I can be.
Dang it, don't you wish that you were me?
Go ahead and hate me, you would if you could,
Darn it, dang it, Damn, I'm good!
V3: Done a biliion things, at least a time or rwo
Feel like a movie star, gettin' great reviews!
I don't cross my fingers 'cause I know I'm gonna win
Well, if you've done it then it ain't braggin'!
CH: Darn I'm darlin' , cute as I can be
Dang it, don't you wish that you were me?
Go ahead and hate me,
You would if you could-
Darn it, dang it,
Damn, I'm good!
Go ahead and hate me,
You would if you could.
Darn it, dang it
Damn, I'm good!
